Great as a place to get souvenirs and sunscreen but all the other items are overpriced junk. Try to shop off season for better prices. Staff are hit an miss on the friendliness scale.

Large selection of beach necessities at a good price. This is not a grocery store, it is small necessity store with lots of tourist items.
This is a great old school 5 + 10 store. It brings me back to being a kid running through Woolworths. If you're in Avalon or Stone Harbor I would highly recommend going to Hoy's for any of your shopping needs.
I've been coming to Hoy's in Avalon since I was very, very young, but I hadn't been in in at least ten years. I'm glad to see it's just as wonderful as I remember. Very reasonable prices on swimwear and souvenirs, a nice toy selection for the kiddos, and excellent, friendly customer service! I hope to be back soon!
