We had a RUDE Bartender, this pass Saturday night. We were the only people at the Bar. She was very short and extremely rude. She was annoyed, that we were there, we asked about what Beers they brewed. Told us, not until October. So wait until then, to get their Brews. She snatched up her tip, quickly. Without a thank you.
Went in with a party of 10. Had excellent service. Was very professional. We all had delicious dinners and great drinks. Especially the beer! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
We've watched this place go up and couldn't wait for it to open however we've decided our first visit will be our last. The service was just OK the bus boy couldn't communicate with us and he started taking our plates away when we clearly weren't finished! Felt we were being rushed and the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was tasty but nothing gourmet. Actually the corn and crab chowder was awful. They clearly don't know what "chowder" means. There was no corn and only a few flakes of crab! The look and consistency was like egg drop soup. Some of us in our group had the prime rib sandwich and it was cooked well done and actually looked like lunchmeat. Again, very disappointed and extremely pricey for the poor quality. The only good thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. The owners put all their money into the decor and not the food!
Had to find the hostess. Had to remind the hostess we were waiting for a server. Server took our order and then returned to tell us several ordered items were out. Ordered different items and she returned again to say those were out. Waited. And waited for service. And not overly busy. Whew!
Friendly staff,especially Jeffrey,our waiter.The best meal we had during our 4 day vaca in Avalon.Poked my head into the brewing area and the brew master was eager to chat about the process.Will try and make a return trip in October when they are in full swing.
